Help on Google Adsense

Hi there hubbers,

I really need help about the google adsense thing, first i know this is one of those ads that makes you money right? I also know that you need to apply to them, right? In hubpages help page it says that applying for google adsense should take a week or so. in the duration of the week, does google make follow-up messages? or should I wait for the first week?

I am a 2nd year student, making my way around financial needs. So this will help me a lot. Really I know that making money on hubpages should not be the main reason i'm here. My reasons would go from sharing my known knowledges even though I'm not good at it, and making money. please help me if you know the way around google adsense. Thank you^_^
